Change a User Account Name

Change User Account Name

  1. Open the Control Panel from the Start menu.
  2. Open User Accounts in the Control Panel.

    Note: If the User Accounts item is not available, change View by to Large icons at the top right of the Control Panel.

  3. Click Change your account name.

    Note: If you want to change another user account’s name, click Manage another account and then select the user account.

  4. Type the new user account name and then click Change Name.
