Change a User Account Password

1. Open the Control Panel from the Start menu.
2. Open User Accounts in the Control Panel.

   

   Note: If the User Accounts item is not available, change View by to Large icons at the top right of the Control Panel.

3. Click Change your password.

   

   Note: If you want to change another user account’s password, click Manage another account and then select the user account.

   

4. Type the user account’s current password (if they have one), the new password (2 times), and a password hint.

   

5. Click Change password.
