Set a User Account’s Password
- Open the Control Panel from the Start menu.
- Open User Accounts in the Control Panel.
Note: If the User Accounts item is not available, change View by to Large icons at the top right of the Control Panel.
- Click Create a password for your account.
Note: If you want to give another user account a password, click Manage another account and then select the user account.
- Type the new password (2 times) and then give it a password hint.
- Click Create password.
