Delay start a service in Windows 7

How to set a service to delay its startup when Windows 7 boots up.

  1. Type services in the Start menu’s search box and then press Enter.

  2. Select Services in the Start menu’s search results.

  3. Double-click the service you want to disable in the services window.

  4. Set the Startup type to Automatic (Delayed Start).

  5. Click the OK button to save the settings.
