Remove the Action Center icon from the notification icons in Windows 7 taskbar.
Disable Windows 7’s Action Center Icon
- Right-click an empty space on the taskbar (the bar with the Start Orb and clock) and then click Properties.
- Click the Customize button in the Notification area section of the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window.
- Click Turn system icons on or off at the bottom left of the Notification Area Icons window.
- Set the Action Center icon’s behavior to Off and then click OK to save the changes.

Am I the only one who cant find “Off”? Iv found ‘Hide’ but there is no OFF…?
You need to follow the link “Turn system icons on or off” highlighted in blue to open a second window with the option to turn off the system icons entirely.
