Learn how to disable the Display Control Panel in Windows 7.
If you enable this setting, the Display Control Panel does not run. When users try to start Display, a message appears explaining that a setting prevents the action.
Disable the Display Control Panel
- Type gpedit.msc in the Start menu’s search box and then press Enter.
Note: This guide shows you how to make changes to Windows 7 using Group Policy. Group Policy is not available in Home versions of Windows 7.
- Navigate to User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Control Panel, and then select Display in the left column of the Group Policy editor.
- Double-click Disable the Display Control Panel in the Settings section of the Group Policy editor.
- Select Enable and then click OK to save the changes.
Now when you go to the Display Control Panel all settings are disabled.
