Disable User Account Control in Windows 7

Learn how to turn off User Account Control (UAC) in Windows 7.

Warning: I DO NOT recommend turning off UAC. User Account Control is there to protect you and it’s not as annoying as everybody says it is. Before you turn off UAC I highly suggest trying it out first.

With that said, here’s how to turn off UAC.

  1. Type uac in the Start Menu’s search box and then press Enter on your keyboard.
  2. Slide the slider all the way down and then click OK to save the changes.
