Learn how to turn off notifications that appear when the Windows 7 firewall blocks a new program.
Disable Windows 7’s Firewall Notifications
- Open Control Panel in the Start menu.
- Open Windows Firewall in the Control Panel.
Note: If Windows Firewall is not available, change View by to Large icons at the top right of the Control Panel.
- Select Turn Windows Firewall on or off.
- Uncheck Notify me when Windows Firewall blocks a new program under Home and or Public network(s) and then click OK.
Note: A private or work network is the network setup at your house or work. A public network is the network setup at a coffee house or other public place.
