Learn how to set Windows 7 to deny active content from running from CDs.

Don’t Allow Active Content to Run from CDs

  1. Open the Control Panel from the Start menu.
  2. Open Internet Options in the Control Panel.

    Note: If Internet Options is not available, change View by to Large icons at the top right of the Control Panel.

  3. Select the Advanced tab in the Internet Properties window.

  4. Uncheck Allow active content from CDs to run on My Computer and then click OK to save the changes.

    Allow active content from CDs to run on My Computer option not available in internet explorer properties advanced tab.
