Enable GodMode in Windows 7

Learn how to enable the “God Mode” Control Panel like window in Windows 7.

There’s a really cool Control Panel like window called GodMode that geeks might find useful. ¬†GodMode is a secret Control Panel like window that lists categorized links to pretty much every setting you’d need to change in Windows 7.

Create a GodMode Window

  1. Create a new folder (right-click the desktop, point at new, and then select Folder).
  2. Rename the folder to GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}.
  3. Double-click GodMode and feast your eyes on categorized links to just about every major Windows 7 setting.

Note: You can name the folder what you’d like by changing everything before the period when renaming the folder.
