Install Windows DVD Maker

Learn how to install Windows DVD Maker in Windows 7.

Install Windows DVD Maker

  1. Open the Control Panel from the Start menu.
  2. Open Programs and Features in the Control Panel.


    Note: If Programs and Features is not available, change View by to Large icons at the top right of the Control Panel.

  3. Select Turn Windows features on or off in the left column of the Programs and Features window.


  4. Check Windows DVD Maker and then click OK.

    how can you turn on Window DVD Maker because on my computer the Window DVD Maker was just gone bur the Window Movie Maker is still in. I want to know where can I get the Window DVD Maker back and why it gone. If you be able to help it would be great. Thank You.

      I’m in a similar bind as Hey. I accidentally uninstalled part of my DVD maker and can’t get it to work at all.

    Belated reply but I have a tip; my DVD Maker seemed to have vanished but after reading this great article and going to “Turn Windows features on or off” I found that the DVD maker box was already checked, yet there was no sign of the program anywhere on my system. What I did was UNCHECK IT first, then click “OK” and wait for the changes to take effect. Then CHECK IT again and click “OK”. Hey presto, DVD Maker had returned to my Start Menu programs list. :-)
