Lock the Taskbar in Windows 7

Learn how to lock Windows 7’s taskbar.

Lock the Taskbar

  1. Right-click an empty space on the taskbar (the bar with the Start Orb and clock) and then click Properties.
  2. Check off Lock the taskbar in the Taskbar appearance section of the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window.

  3. Click OK to save the changes.
