Pin Shortcuts to Windows 7’s Taskbar

Learn how to pin a shortcut to your favorite application to Windows 7’s Task Bar.

Windows 7 allows you to “pin” your favorite or most used applications to the Taskbar so that you can easily and quickly access them.

Pin Shortcuts to Windows 7’s Taskbar

  1. Open the Start Menu and browse to the application you want to pin the the Start Menu.
  2. Right-click the application in the Start Menu and then select Pin to Taskbar.
  3. Now the application will be pinned to the Taskbar.

To unpin a shortcut from the Taskbar, right-click the pinned shortcut and then select Unpin this program from taskbar.

    I am trying to pin “Personalization” to the task bar; but can’t find a way. Windows 7 will allow me to create a shortcut on the desktop but can’t pin it to the Taskbar.
