Windows 7 allows you to “pin” your favorite or most used applications to the top of the Start Menu so that you can easily and quickly access them.
Pin Shortcuts to Windows 7’s Start Menu
- Open the Start Menu and browse to the application you want to pin the the Start Menu.
- Right-click the application in the Start Menu and then select Pin to Start Menu.
- Now the application will be pinned to the top of the Start Menu like the Internet Explorer and Word shortcuts in the screen shot below.
To unpin a shortcut from the Start Menu, right-click the pinned shortcut and then select Unpin from Start Menu.
