Prevent Menus from Fading or Sliding Into View in Windows 7

How to stop menus from fading or sliding into and out of view in Windows 7.

The only menu I’ve seen that this setting prevents from fading or sliding is the taskbar (the bar on the bottom of your screen with the Start orb on it). If you know of any other menus it prevents from sliding or fading, let me know.

  1. Type adjust perf in the Start Menu’s search box and then press Enter on your keyboard.
  2. Uncheck Fade or slide menus into view.
  3. Click OK to save the changes.
