Make Folders Open in the Same Window
- Open the Control Panel from the Start menu.
- Open Folder Options in the Control Panel.
Note: If Folder Options is not available, change View by to Large icons at the top right of the Control Panel.
- Select Open each folder in the same window in the Browser folders section of the Folder Options window.
- Click OK to save the changes.

I have been having this problem for a while on Windows 7. I had already done what you just ilistrated and the folders still come up in different windows. I’m not sure what the problem is. If you could help me out i would greatly apreciate it.

I had the same problem. Re-registering two dll’s and rebooting solved it:
regsvr32 “%SystemRoot%\System32\actxprxy.dll”
regsvr32 “%ProgramFiles%\Internet Explorer\ieproxy.dll”
