Set Internet Explorer to Delete Browsing History on Exit

Learn how to set Windows 7 to delete your browsing history (temporary files, history, cookies) when you close Internet Explorer.

Delete Browsing History on Exit

  1. Open the Control Panel from the Start menu.
  2. Open Internet Options in the Control Panel.

    Note: If Internet Options is not available, change View by to Large icons at the top right of the Control Panel.

  3. Check off Delete browsing history on exit and then click OK to save the changes.
