Learn how to set Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) to create a system restore point before it applies actions to malware.
Set MSE to Create Restore Points
- Open Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) by going to Start, All Programs, Microsoft Security Essentials, and then select Microsoft Security Essentials.
- Select the Settings tab.
- Select Advanced on the left side of the MSE window.
- Check off Create a system restore point and then click the Save changes button.
