Set Microsoft Security Essentials to Create a Restore Point before Applying Actions

Set MSE to Create Restore Points

  1. Open Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) by going to Start, All Programs, Microsoft Security Essentials, and then select Microsoft Security Essentials.

  2. Select the Settings tab.
  3. Select Advanced on the left side of the MSE window.

  4. Check off Create a system restore point and then click the Save changes button.
