Set Microsoft Security Essentials to Exclude a File or Location

Exclude a File or Folder in MSE
- Open Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) by going to Start, All Programs, Microsoft Security Essentials, and then select Microsoft Security Essentials.
[1] - Select the Settings tab.
- Select Excluded files & locations in the left column of the Settings tab.
[2] - Click the Add button.
- Select the file or folder and then click OK.
[3] - Click Save changes and you’re done!
