Set Microsoft Security Essentials to Exclude a Process

Exclude a Process in MSE
- Open Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) by going to Start, All Programs, Microsoft Security Essentials, and then select Microsoft Security Essentials.
[1] - Select the Settings tab.
- Select Excluded processes in the left column of the Settings tab.
- Click the Add button.
[2] - Browse to the process, select it, and then click OK.
[3]Note: Only files with the extensions .cmd, .bat, .pif, .exe, .com, and .scr can be selected.
- Click the Save changes button.
