Learn how to set Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) to not scan archive files (.zip, .cab, so on).
Set MSE to Not Scan Archive Files
- Open Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) by going to Start, All Programs, Microsoft Security Essentials, and then select Microsoft Security Essentials.
- Select the Settings tab.
- Select Advanced on the left side of the MSE window.
- Uncheck Scan archive files and then click the Save changes button.
