Set Microsoft Security Essentials to Scan Zipped Files

Set MSE to Scan Archive Files

  1. Open Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) by going to Start, All Programs, Microsoft Security Essentials, and then select Microsoft Security Essentials.

  2. Select the Settings tab.
  3. Select Advanced on the left side of the MSE window.

  4. Check off Scan archive files and then click the Save changes button.
