Set when Windows 7 Sleeps
- Open the Control Panel in the Start menu.
- Open Power Options in the Control Panel.
Note: If Power Options is not available, change View by to Large icons at the top right of the Control Panel.
- Click Change plan settings next to the power plan you want to edit.
- Change the drop-down menu next to Put the computer to sleep to the amount of idle time before the PC goes to sleep and then click Save changes.

You need to list:
Step 1 Open Control Panel From start
Step 2 Open “Hardware and Sound”
Step 3 Power Options.
There is no way to go from step 1 to step 3 (your step 2) on my computer.
