Set the Mouse Double-click Speed

Learn how to set the double-click speed of icons and folders in Windows 7.

Set the Double-click Speed

  1. Right-click an empty space on the desktop and then select Personalize.
  2. Click Change mouse pointers in the top left of the Personalization window.

  3. Select the Buttons tab.
  4. Slide the slider in the Double-click speed section to adjust the double-click speed. Test the double-click speed by double-clicking the folder in the Double-click speed section.

  5. Click OK when you’re done.
