Learn how to set how many items are allowed in Windows 7’s task bar jump lists.
A jump list is the list that pops up when you right-click an item on Windows 7’s task bar. An example of a Word jump list is shown below.
Set the Number of Recent Items to Display in Jump Lists
- Right-click an empty spot on the taskbar (the bar with the Start Orb and clock) and then choose Properties.
- Click the Start Menu tab in the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window.
- Click the Customize button in the Start Menu tab of the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window.
- Set how many items to show next to Number of recent items to display in Jump Lists in the Start menu size section of the Customize Start Menu window and then click OK.
