Learn how to set when Windows 7 should put the pc to sleep after being inactive.
- Open the Control Panel from the Start menu.
- Open Power Options in the Control Panel.
Note: If Power Options is not available, change View by to Large icons at the top right of the Control Panel.
- Select Change plan settings on the power plan you want to edit.
- Set the amount of time of inactivity (from Never to 5 hours) next to Put the computer to sleep and then click Save changes.
