Set Windows Search to Find Partial Matches

Let’s say you are searching for fried rice. Partial matches allows Windows search to give you results of documents with fried rice, fried, or rice in them.
Set Search to Find Partial Matches
- Open the Control Panel from the Start menu.
- Open Folder Options in the Control Panel.
[1]Note: If Folder Options isn’t available, change View by to Large icons at the top right of the Control Panel.
- Select the Search tab in the Folder Options window.
[2] - Check off Find partial matches in the How to search section and then click OK.
