Show the User’s Files Icon on the Desktop

Learn how to show the User’s Files icon (same as My Documents in Windows XP) on Windows 7’s desktop.

How to Show the User’s Files Icon on the Desktop

Right-click an empty space on your desktop and then select Personalize.
Select Change desktop icons in the left column of the Personalization window.
Check off User’s Files in the Desktop icons section of the Desktop Icon Settings window and then click OK.
