How do I start a service in Windows 7?

  1. Open the Control Panel in the Start Menu.
  2. Select Administrative Tools in the Control Panel.

    Note: If Administrative Tools is not available, change View by to Large icons at the top right of the Control Panel.

  3. Open Services in the Administrative Tools window.

  4. Select the service and then click Start in left column of the main window of the Services window.
