Turn off Backup and Restore’s Automatic Backup Schedule

Learn how to turn off Backup and Restore’s automatic backup schedule in Windows 7.

Disable Automatic Backup and Restore’s Schedule

  1. Open the Control Panel from the Start Menu.
  2. Open Backup and Restore in the Control Panel.

    Note: If Backup and Restore is not available, change View by to Large icons at the top right of the Control panel.

  3. Click Turn off schedule in the left column of the Backup and Restore window.

Enable Automatic Backup and Restore’s Schedule

When you’re ready to turn Backup and Restore’s automatic backup schedule back on, click Turn on schedule at the bottom of the Backup section of the Backup and Restore window.
