Learn how to turn off Windows 7’s natural language search feature.
Natural language search enables you to search for things using a more natural language.
For example: You could search for music by an artist by searching for “artist Marc Broussard” or you could search for e-mail from me (Brent) about Windows 7 by searching for “e-mail from Brent about Windows 7“.
Turn Off Natural Language Search
- Open the Control Panel from the Start menu.
- Open Folder Options in the Control Panel.
Note: If Folder Options isn’t available, change View by to Large icons at the top right of the Control Panel.
- Select the Search tab in the Folder Options window.
- Uncheck Use natural language search in the How to search section and then press OK.
