Uninstall Windows Media Player
- Open the Control Panel from the Start menu.
- Open Programs and Features in the Control Panel.
[1]Note: If Programs and Features is not available, change View by to Large icons at the top right of the Control Panel.
- Select Turn Windows features on or off in the left column of the Programs and Features window.
[2] - Uncheck Windows Media Player.
[3] - A warning will pop-up that informs you that Windows Media Center will also be uninstalled because it uses Windows Media Player components to function. Click OK.
[4] - Click OK in the Windows Features window.
- Click Restart Now to restart the computer.
