Uninstall Windows Search

Uninstall the Windows Search Engine
- Open the Control Panel in the Start menu.
- Open Programs and Features in the Control Panel.
[1]Note: If Programs and Features is not available, change View by to Large icons at the top right of the Control Panel.
- Click Turn Windows features on or off on the left side of the Programs and Features window.
[2] - Uncheck Windows Search and then click OK.
[3] - Restart the computer.

Once your computer boots back up, the Windows search engine will be uninstalled. Go ahead; check if the search box is in the Start menu.
