Using Aero Shake

Learn how to quickly minimize all open windows except one in Windows 7 using Aero Shake.

Aero Shake is a little known feature that lets you quickly minimize all of the open windows except one.

How to Use Aero Shake

To use Aero Shake simply grab the title bar section of the window you want to keep open and then shake it sideways a few times.  All of the other windows will minimize into the taskbar.

Note: When I say “grab” the title bar of a window, I’m saying to hover the mouse over the very top center of a window (it usually has the name of the window).  Next, hold down the left-mouse button.  When you’re holding the left mouse button down you’re grabbing the window.
