Zip a File or Folder

Learn how to compress a file or folder in Windows 7 without using any third party software.

Zip a File or Folder

  1. Right-click the file or folder.
  2. Point at Send To.
  3. Select Compressed (Zipped) Folder.

A zipped file will be created in the same location with the same name as the original file or folder.
