Add Video Clips and Pictures to Windows Movie Makers Story Board

Posted By Brent Trahan On January 12, 2007 @ 7:56 am In All, Vista, Windows, Windows Movie Maker | 2 Comments

Introduction

This guide shows you how to add your video clips and pictures to Windows Movie Makers story board for editing.

What Is the Story Board?

Think of the story board as a digital version of a blank video tape.  Think of the video or pictures you are adding to the story board as a digital version of a video tape that has been cut into clips.

You use the story board to position video clips and photos in any order you like.  Once you’ve added video clips to the story board you can edit them to add affects.

Add Video or Pictures to the Story Board

  1. Select a video or picture you want to add to the story board that has already been imported into Windows Movie Maker and drag it to the story board.
  2. 1add_video.PNG [1]

Notice: I added the three videos I imported into Windows Movie Maker to the story board in the screen shot above.

Hint: To drag a file, select the file with your left mouse button.  While holding down the left mouse button drag the file to where you want to drop it.  Let go of the left mouse button to drop the file.

That’s it!
