Boot Windows Vista Up In Safe Mode

Introduction
Booting a computer up in Safe Mode makes the computer only load necessary services and drivers. This helps to troubleshoot or uninstall a bad service or driver that’s causing problems. It’s also easier to remove certain types of viruses in Safe Mode.
Boot in Safe Mode
- Turn your computer on.
- Start pressing F8 on your keyboard about every second as soon as you turn the computer on until you see the screen shown below.

Advanced Boot Options
Once you make it to the Advanced Boot Options screen you have three Safe Mode options.
- Safe Mode: This is the default safe mode that only loads necessary services and drivers.
- Safe Mode with Networking: Networking services and drivers are loaded giving you network and internet access in safe mode.
- Safe Mode with Command Prompt: Safe mode with the ability to use the command (DOS) prompt.
Pick which Safe Mode you want to use with your up/down arrows (most people use Safe Mode) and then press enter on your keyboard.
