Posted By Brent Trahan On February 28, 2007 @ 4:09 pm In All, Search, Vista, Windows | 1 Comment

Windows Vista’s search engine keeps an index of files for fast advanced searching. If you have a fast spare hard drive and you have a huge search index you can speed up searching a bit by moving the search index to the faster hard drive.

Learn how to change Windows 7’s search index location [1] too.

Change the Vista Search Index Location

  1. Type index in the search box on the Start Menu.
