I'd also like to know if it's possible to use some standard command line tools like xcopy or robocopy to copy to/from the network drive, that way it would be easy to keep a local folder synchronized with an FTP folder without using specialized tools.

Thanks for that, but now how do I reference the newly created ftp folder as a target for say a shortcut or a command line XCOPY?

It does not seem to like network conventions (\\server\ftpfolder), and "copy as text" gives: ftp://username@123.456.78.9/, which nothing likes as a folder target.

Thanks!!
