How-to Allow Items Flagged by Windows Defender

Posted By Brent Trahan On March 4, 2008 @ 12:57 pm In All, Vista, Windows, Windows Defender | No Comments

So you download a program and it’s flagged as being possible malware (virus, spyware, or adware) by Windows Defender but you’re sure it’s not bad or you don’t care.

This guide shows you how to allow items (programs) so that Windows Defender doesn’t get rid of them.

Warning: If Windows Defender has flagged items as possible malware there’s a strong chance they are. Allow them at your own risk.

Allow Items in Windows Defender

  1. After scanning your computer Windows Defender will flag items it thinks are possible malware.
