Manually Create a System Restore Point in Windows Vista

Posted By Brent Trahan On September 7, 2007 @ 8:07 am In All, Backup and Restore, Vista, Windows | 4 Comments

Introduction

A system restore point is a backup of the Windows system files. A system restore point is created automatically every time you install software or any changes are made to the system files.

Note: A system restore point does not backup your personal files.

Create a System Restore Point Manually

  1. Type System Restore in the Start Menu’s search box and then click System Restore in the search results.
  2. Click open System Protection at the bottom of the System Restore window.
