It's your user profile/home folder and it's got hidden files in it that you shouldn't be messing with. If your system is configured to show hidden files, it makes that folder a very bad place to be sending all your stuff. I want to make the Documents folder show up on the desktop instead and I don't mean a shortcut. Most people probably won't know the difference between these either.
