This guide shows you how to stop programs that have just been installed from showing up highlighted in Windows Vista’s start menu.
Disable Highlighted Programs
- Right-click the Start button and then select Options.
- Click the Customize button next to Start menu.
- Scroll about half way down and uncheck Highlight newly installed programs.
