Stop Windows Mail from Automatically Creating Contacts

Stop Windows Mail from automatically creating a new contact from someone you reply to for the first time or who is not already in your contacts list.

Stop Automatic Contact Creation

  1. Open Windows Mail.
  2. Click Tools and then click Options.
  3. Select the Send tab.
  4. Uncheck Automatically put people I reply to in my Contacts list.

  5. Click OK to save the changes.
